Poitiers University Foundation is raising funds : Alexandru Ioan Cuza of Iasi in Romania is a university located in the immediate vicinity of the Ukranian borders. The university is a member of the European University Alliance EC2U coordinated by the university of Poitiers and the town of Iasi is the twin city of Poitiers.  The funds raised are destined to facilitate the welcoming of student, researcher and staff refugees from Ukrainian universities. 

It is possible to take part in this initiative on an individual basis and make a donation to Poitiers University Foundation by either sending a check or donating online.

You may send a check  payable to “Agent Comptable de l’université de Poitiers” (chief accounting officer of the university) via regular mail to the following address: Fondation Poitiers Université – Bâtiment E11 – 49 place Charles de Gaulle – TSA 61134 – 86073 Poitiers Cedex 9. Please indicate “Ukraine fundraising” + add the personal mailing information of the donor at the back of the check

At the Students’ Center of the University of Poitiers 

A collection of donations in kind was organised by Russian and Ukrainian teachers and students on 9 March 2022 at the Students’ Center (https://www.le7.info/article/18807-ukraine-une-collecte-le-mercredi-9-mars-a-la-maison-des-etudiants-de-poitiers). All medicine, hygiene products, and other basic necessities collected were sent directly to the Ukrainian border to the benefit of the war refugees in 2 trucks of the civil protection. We would like to thank the staff and the students who spontaneously and generouslly contributed to this important effort to support the Ukrainian people, thus showing that more than ever before the University of Poitiers is an inclusive and citizen-oriented university.
