The University of Poitiers is fully committed to supporting the students, staff and academics struck with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. So far 10 Ukranian students and 37 Russian students have enrolled this year in our university. They have been invited to meet President Virginie LAVAL and are provided close support both by their home departments and by the International office.

Fortunately, no student or staff from the university of Poitiers is travelling in Ukraine, Russia or Belarus at the moment.

According to instructions given by the French Ministry for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, traveling to those territories is suspended.

Bilateral cooperation and programmes with Russia are also suspended.

Interpersonal relations with Russian students and colleagues are maintained. The university is and will be welcoming next Fall 2022 Russian students enrolled in courses and colleagues coming in a personal capacity .
