You were studying one of the above-mentioned disciplines in Ukraine when the conflict broke out and you benefit from temporary protection, (see Legal assistance) described in the circular letter of March 2022 on welcoming displaced students from Ukraine.
You have chosen to study in France at the University of Poitiers, in one of the following faculties: Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy (medical school, midwifery school, faculty of pharmacy).
in order to allow follow-up, support and facilitate your care by the establishment.
2 - TEMPORARY PROTECTION
As a student, you must be covered by temporary protection.
Temporary protection is offered to students from Ukraine if:
Case no. 1: you are a Ukrainian national and you lived in Ukraine before February 24, 2022;
Case 2: you are not anUkrainian national and you benefit from protection (international or national equivalent) granted by the Ukrainian authorities;
Case 3: you are not a Ukrainian national but you hold a valid permanent residence permit issued by the Ukrainian authorities and you are unable to return to your country of origin;
Case 4: you are a member of the family of a person falling under one of the previous cases (the members of the family are: the spouse, minor children and dependent parents).
To benefit from this temporary protection, you must go to the prefecture of the department of your place of residence or accommodation.

As a student or graduate in medical courses, you can apply to enrol in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses.
In March 2023, after an evaluation you will have the possibility to be enrolled in our Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy (medical school, midwifery school, faculty of pharmacy), starting in September 2023.
