The University of Poitiers emphasizes inclusion and diversity as fundamental priorities, aiming to provide personalized support to each international student. The goal is to create unique opportunities that allow every student with a disability to thrive, regardless of his/her background, nationality, skills, or personal circumstances.
To make your stay more enjoyable and tailored to your particular needs, the University of Poitiers provides specific services and adapted infrastructures (elevators, ramps, pedometer strips, reserved parking spaces, 90% accessibility rate) for people with disabilities. The Student Disability Service (SHE) at the University of Poitiers will support you throughout your stay, particularly regarding your needs in terms of housing, study and exam arrangements, transportation, medical monitoring, assistance equipment, home help, sign language interpretation, and life assistance.
The Erasmus+ program strives to promote equal opportunities, inclusion, diversity, and equity in all its initiatives. In this regard, additional funding may be granted to all international students experiencing difficulties, in addition to the Erasmus+ mobility grant. Partner universities may nominate students with disabilities, and students may explain their special needs in their application form.
