Doctoral students without a doctoral contract must apply for a student visa. If in doubt, please contact the Euraxess Center in Poitiers.

Please note : A hosting agreement (Convention d’accueil cerfa) is required to obtain a “Talent chercheur” visa. Once completed by the host laboratory, it must be sent to the EURAXESS service center for signature by the President of the University of Poitiers.

Renewal

You can apply to renew your residence permit on the Ministry of the Interior’s platform. (ANEF)

This request must be made between 4 months and 2 months before the expiry date of your residence permit. Prefectures may impose penalties for late applications.

Once you have confirmed the registration of your application, you will receive a ” confirmation of deposit “.

If your application is complete, you will receive an ” attestation de décision favorable” valid for the duration of your stay. This document allows you to live and work in France until you receive your residence permit (about 1 month before you receive your residence permit).

Once your residence permit is ready, the Prefecture will send you an SMS telling you that you can make an appointment to collect it.

To make an appointment: https: //www.rdv-prefecture.interieur.gouv.fr/rdvpref/reservation/demarche/1243/
