The Prior Admission Application (Demande d’Admission Préalable – DAP) – green application form is a compulsory application procedure for all candidates applying for first-time enrolment in the first year of a Bachelor’s degree programme who meet all three of the following criteria:

• they do not hold French nationality, nor the nationality of a Member State of the European Union, a country party to the European Economic Area Agreement, or Switzerland;
• they do not hold, and are not due to obtain, a French or European Baccalaureate;
• they reside in France.

The following applicants are not subject to the DAP procedure:

• candidates holding a French Baccalaureate or a European Baccalaureate;
• candidates who are nationals of a European Union Member State, a European Economic Area country, Switzerland, Monaco or Andorra;
• foreign candidates who can provide proof of enrolment, during the academic year preceding the year for which they are applying, in a post-secondary programme offered by a French higher education institution.
  This exemption applies only in the case of a change of programme without an interruption in studies.

If you fall into one of the three situations listed above, you must apply through Parcoursup.

The following applicants are exempt from the DAP procedure:

• candidates who hold scholarships from the French Government, international organisations or foreign governments, where the scholarships are administered by an approved French organisation;
• stateless applicants, refugees, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, or beneficiaries of temporary protection (Ukraine);
• children of diplomats posted to France who themselves reside in France;
• candidates coming to France to study as part of a programme established by an agreement between governments or a programme defined by an inter-university agreement;
• foreign scholarship holders of the French Government;
• foreign scholarship holders of international organisations or foreign governments, where the scholarships are administered by an approved French organisation.

If this is not possible, you may send a request for the form by post to SURIEE, written in French or English and accompanied by a C4-size envelope bearing your address, before November 20.

We recommend sending your paper application by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt.

Before returning your application, please:

• read carefully the methodological guide  particularly regarding the required supporting documents, exemption cases, the TCF, etc
• check that the programme you wish to apply for is offered by our university (see programme catalogue https://formations.univ-poitiers.fr/fr/index.html) and enter the exact title of the programme on the application form;
• complete the application form as clearly and legibly as possible, particularly your postal address, email address and telephone number;
• make sure to complete the section that actually corresponds to your situation (pages 3–4 of the application form).

Please note: If, in your country, your secondary school leaving qualification does not give you direct access to higher education in the programme you wish to study (for example, if admission requires an entrance examination, a specific examination, an application-based interview, etc.), please make sure to provide us with a certificate confirming your eligibility for higher education in your country for the studies you have chosen.

You must request this certificate from the relevant administrative authorities in your country after meeting the applicable requirements.

Without this document, your application will not be considered complete.
