The projet "Too bee... Hornet to bee", leaded by 6 students of Master's degree in Cell Engineering, won a gold medal during the competition of International Genetically Engineered Machine, called « iGEM » which took place from 31 October to 4 November at MIT in Boston.
At the end of October, our students, Anaïs Canteau, Tony Horbach, Marine Lavaud, Marin Duthoit, Alicia Faugeroux and Anne-Claire Boisson went to Boston to present their result analysis after an entire year of work. They discovered teams projects gathering more than 40 different countries and the most prestigious universities in the world. They submitted their project to the iGEM jury.
Poitiers students has been awarded the Gold Medal during the “Giant Jamboree” on 4 November and they were also nominated for the best project in the “Manufacturing” category.
