The EUNIVERSE Project

The EUNIVERSE Project is the extension of an Erasmus+ project, UNISAFE, that was led by the University of Pavia. UNISAFE devised online training modules on safety and security, for International Relations Offices and students to prepare for mobility abroad. However, through this project, the participants realized that there is still a need for Higher Education Institutions to be more welcoming and above all, more inclusive. Thus, the objective of EUNIVERSE is to optimize the departure arrangements and reception of international students and refugees, with a focus on embodying European values. This project targets the whole institutional community, including academic and administrative staff and both local and international or refugee students.

Based on key concepts of European values and civic engagement, the aim of the EUNIVERSE project is to improve the institutional environment for incoming and outgoing mobility, actively contribute to the establishment of conditions favorable to the inclusion, perseverance and success of international students and facilitate the appropriation and the implementation of good practices through exchanges between mobility stakeholders, including students. The project spans over a period of 3 years, from October 2023 to September 2026.
