International Research

Whatever their field, the researchers from the various research centers at the University of Poitiers all work internationally, through direct co-operation with their foreign counterparts or as partners in international research programs.
It is therefore the mission of the University's International Relations Office to facilitate these international activities, either by assisting the reception of foreign partners, or by assisting in the drafting of international mobility projects (for PhD students, and for teachers and researchers who are members of the University's Research Centers) and in the drafting of international teaching and/or research projects. In particular, the International Relations Office carries out strategic monitoring of the various funding programs launched by the European Commission, by Campus France, by various embassies and by other organizations.

This information is regularly transmitted to the International Research Network (RRI) which is made up of the "international relations" correspondents of each research structure at the University of Poitiers. The International Research Network also regularly meets to discuss good practices regarding the drafting and follow up of international projects.

Through its involvement with European and international networks and through its unique international partnerships (Oregon University System, USTH consortium, bilateral agreements with universities in Canada, Brazil and elsewhere), the University of Poitiers also has multiple contacts worldwide which enables it to find partners, to communicate events (conferences, calls for applications, etc.), and to keep up with contemporary structural developments in higher education in Europe and worldwide.
